Assignments for Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Sight Words: Children will identify and read the word "the." Have your child read the word and add it to their set of word cards.  Have your child use it in a sentence.  If your child is able to identify the word independently you can begin to encourage them to write a simple sentence on their own. 


Religion:  Children will understand why God likes to hear his children sing. 

- Read Aloud: "Eggs, Polliwogs, and Frogs"

- Discussion: 

- What is another name for the tadpole?
- What is something you might like to do when you grow up?
- Why do you think God makes all things grow and change?

Activity: Draw a picture of what you want to be when you grow up. 

Math: Children will use the song "Five Green Speckled Frogs" to create a number sentence.

Children will identify letter sound /w/.
