Assignments for Monday, May 4, 2020

Religion:  Children will discuss how to tell others about God's love. 
- Read Aloud:

How did Saul change for good?
Who would you like to tell about God's love?
Why do you think Jesus wants people to know that He loves them?
- Activity:  Act out one way you will share God's love with others.

Phonics:  Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Uu.  
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify short vowel and long vowel /u/ sound. 
- Watch Video: YouTube Link: Learn the Letter U
Activity: Write uppercase and lowercase Uu.  Draw one picture with either the short vowel sound /u/ at the beginning or the middle of the word. Draw another picture with either the long vowel "u" sound at the beginning or the middle of the word.

Math: Children will solve "take from with result unknown" story problems using objects from the story by subtracting four.
Activity: Math Workbook - complete pgs. 405-406-407-408


Sight Words: Review the word "said." Have your child read the word and add it to your set of word cards.  Have your child use it in a sentence.  If your child is able to identify the word independently you can begin to encourage them to dictate and write a simple sentence.
