News of the Week
- Monday, May 11th Online Learning will end at 12 Noon for all grades for a Faculty Meeting. We will have our Zoom Meeting at 11:00am for tomorrow only since it is a short day. Please check the blog before you log into Zoom for the ID# and Password. The rest of the week we will stick to our original Zoom schedule I posted last week.
- There is a third packet available at the school office for pick up between 9am - 1pm. I recommend everyone picks one up as it will be a great resource to have for reviewing now or over the summer vacation.
- On Friday I posted all the pictures I received of the children's beautiful project of retelling the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar in sequence order.

*** Please start the day with prayers and our morning routine that I have previously posted in this blog.
Sight Words: Introduce the word "see." Have your child read the word and add it to their set of word cards. Have your child use it in a sentence. If your child is able to identify the word independently you can begin to encourage them to write a simple sentence on their own.
Religion: Children will understand how God wants us to be helpers in our families.
Read Aloud: Saying "Helping Our Families"
- Disucussion:
How did Miriam help her family?
What are some ways you help your family?
Why do you think God wants us to be helpers in our families?
- Activity: Draw a picture of one way you are helpful for your family.
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Vv.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify letter sound /v/.

Activity: On a piece of paper draw two pictures with beginning sound /v/ and practice writing uppercase and lowercase Vv.
Storytime: I will read a story during our Zoom Meeting.
