Assignments for Thursday, May 14, 2020

Note to Parents:
* The following Bible story I have read to the children before.  However, I thought it would be a great time to revisit the story since many parents have told me recently how much they are struggling with the children as they are not listening or following house rules.  Hope this will help a little.

Religion:  Children will understand why God wants children to obey their parents.
Read Aloud
- Discussion:
What did Jesus do after his parents found him in the temple?
What are some ways that you obey your parents?
Whey do you think God wants children to obey their parents?
Activity: Look at your parents and make a promise to them by telling them 3 new ways you are going to obey them from now on. Then your parents will write the 3 new ways and post it on the refrigerator or somewhere else you can see it everyday.  This will remind you everyday that God loves you and your family and He wants you to always show love to your family by listening and obeying them.
