Week of 4/1/19 - 4/5/19

News of the Week  

- Thursday, April 11th at 8:30am we will be celebrating "The Week of the Young Child" and all parents are invited to join their child as they will be exploring with different types of science experiments in the auditorium.  

- Friday, April 12th Early Dismissal 12 Noon.  Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held.  

-  We will be collecting $5. for the children's Easter Party.   

This Week Children will be learning the following:

- Religion: Children will learn about the importance of praying and talking to God.  

- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sound /t/. 

- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Tt.
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "The Tug of War."

- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the words "not" and "play."

- Math: Children will learn about measuring weight and volume.
- Science: Children will continue learning how the states of matter change.  
- Social Studies: Children will continue to learn about different kinds of land-forms.

Phonics - Have your child draw a picture with beginning sounds /n/ and /o/.  Write the word for your child to complete the sentence.  Have your child repeat the sentence after you. 
*Remember to allow your child to draw their own pictures. 


4yr. old Group
Handwriting - Write uppercase and lowercase Pp and Qq 5x's each in the notebook.

Phonics - Draw and label a picture with beginning sounds /p/ and /kw/.
