- There was a mix up with the date for Kindergarten Registration for the 4 year olds entering Kindergarten in Fall 2019.  The starting day for registration is actually tomorrow, Thursday, Nov. 29th.  I want to remind all parents that scholarships are available for Kindergarten.  If you need any information or assistance regarding registration or scholarships please see Ms. Alba or Mr. Guzman.

This Week Children will be learning the following:
- Religion:  Children will understand that we have God's love through our families.  Children will begin to learn about the Advent season.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sounds /g/ and /h/.
- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Gg and Hh.
- Reading Comprehension: Children will listen and respond to a different version of the story "La Tortuga."
- Math: Children will construct two dimensional shapes.
- Social Studies: Children will learn about different family home jobs.
- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the word "down."

News of the Week
- Our annual Thanksgiving food canned drive to assist in the outreach program at St. Patrick's home  will end Nov, 21st.  Please bring in as many cans as possible.  The class with the most cans will win a pizza party.

- Tomorrow, November 19, 2018 it will be Mickey and Minnie Mouse Day.  Children are allowed to dress up as Mickey or Minnie Mouse for the day.  NO CONTEST WILL BE HELD THIS YEAR.  Dressing up is optional.

-  Tuesday, November 20, 2018 Early Dismissal 12 Noon.  Parent / Teacher Conferences will be held between 3:00pm - 8:00pm in my classroom.

- Wednesday, November 21, 2018 we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with the children in the classroom.  Children are to dress up as we will also be attending Thanksgiving Mass at 9:00am.  I am asking for $5. to help with our Thanksgiving feast and treats.

- Tomorrow Native American / Thanksgiving Music Presentation at 9:00am in the auditorium, all parents welcome to come.  Children are to wear dress up clothes.

- Monday, November 19, 2018 it will be Mickey and Minnie Mouse Day.  Children are allowed to dress up as Mickey or Minnie Mouse for the day.  There will be a costume contest at 1:00pm for the three best costumes in each classroom.  This is optional.

- Our annual Thanksgiving food canned drive to assist in the outreach program at St. Patrick's home has begun.  Please bring in as many cans as possible.  The class with the most cans will win a pizza party.

- Friday, Nov. 16th Native American / Thanksgiving Presentation at 9:00am, parents are welcome. Children are to wear dress up clothes.

-  Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held Tuesday, Nov. 20th from 3:00pm - 8:00pm.  I would like to remind parents that Pre-K students do not receive report cards in the 1st quarter.  All Pre-K students will receive report cards for the 2nd and 4th quarters only.  However, we will meet on Nov. 20th to discuss your child's progress and I will demonstrate their 1st quarter portfolios to you.

- Individual Picture Day will be Tuesday, November 6th.  Picture envelopes must be handed to Mrs. Resto by tomorrow morning Nov. 5th.  Parents have the choice to have your child wear their full school uniform or dress up clothes for their individual picture.
