-  I want to remind all parents that during time of drop-off and pick-up parents or other relatives are not allowed in the classroom as I explained during our Parent Orientation Meeting this is for the safety of all the children.  I greatly appreciate your cooperation.

- Tomorrow, Friday Sept. 16th Early Dismissal 12 noon.  If your child is not enrolled in the After School Program please be on time at 12 noon.  We will not have Snack Time on short days, only children staying in the After School Program are to bring in a snack tomorrow.  

- Tomorrow, Friday Sept. 16th Dress Down for $1. children are allowed to wear their play clothes to school.

Math - Complete worksheet.  Help your child point to the objects that match and tell how they are the same, but have one or two different attributes.  Then have them match the pictures with a pencil.

News of the Week 
- Congratulations to everyone for a successful first two days of school.  The children are transitioning very smoothly and were all very eager to learn and play.  This week will begin our full schedule and I am excited for all that is yet to come.

-  I want to inform all parents that our Gym day will be every Thursday and all children are to wear their gym uniforms and sneakers to school.

- Friday, September 16, 2016 we will have Early Dismissal at 12 noon for a Faculty Meeting.  The After School Program will be available for those students that are enrolled.  If your child is not enrolled in After School please make sure to arrive by 12 noon for pick-up.

Welcome to Pre-K 2!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome to Pre-K 2!  I would like to take this time to introduce myself.  My name is Elizabeth Rodriguez.  I am beginning my 17th year as an early childhood educator and for the last 12 years I have been working within the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of New York.  This will be my 7th year at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School.

If you have chosen to register your child into my class I know that you value the importance of high quality early learning.  This important milestone will help guide your child with entering kindergarten and will prepare them to thrive in elementary school and beyond.  

I am excited to welcome you and your child to our Pre-K 2 class and I am committed to providing a well-rounded, academic program, in a caring, nurturing environment for your child. Together we will work to help your child achieve their highest potential.

I look forward to meeting you on Parent Orientation this Wednesday, September 7th at 5:00pm. Classes will begin Thursday, September 8th at 8:00am. I posted in June the needed supplies for this school year, if you have any questions please see me on Wednesday evening. I also want to remind you to please label with your child's name all supply items. Enjoy the remainder of these few Summer days!
