Assignments for Friday, May 8, 2020

ATTENTION MOM'S:  For your children at this age Mother's day is a special day also for your children and they want to always do something special for you.  So please have someone else help your child create a card they can give you and maybe sing the song I attached below. Usually we would've made something together in the classroom to gift to you so I hope they can make the card with someone else to gift to you. So act surprised when you get that special card.  Happy Mother's Day to All!

Religion:  Children will understand how to be thankful for the blessings in their lives.  Children will create Mother's Day cards to show their Moms how thankful they are for loving and caring for them.
Read Aloud: Saying "Thank You"

- Disucussion:
In the story, how many men came back to thank Jesus for making them well?
What are some things you are thankful for?
Why are you thankful for your Mommy's or Grandma's or Auntie's?
Why do you think it makes God happy when we say "thank you" to him?
Activity:  Ask your Dad or another family member to help you make a beautiful Mother's Day card to show your Mom how much you love her and are thankful for her.

Math: Children will use a number line to add and subtract.  Children will create a number line from 0 - 10 and use it to create their own math stories to solve.
Activity: Draw a number line and create 4 number sentences showing how to count up or back on your number line.

Computer:  Review Reading and Math concepts on abcya.com - Pre-K
