News of the Week
- Friday, Dec. 2nd Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.
- I want to inform all parents that unfortunately Mrs. Gomez after having been working with me for the past 12 years as my assistant has moved on to a new job opportunity. While it saddens us we are happy for her as she embarks her new journey. Fortunately, Mrs. Deluna who has also worked with me for many years and has worked at OLQM for more than 20yrs will become our new Teacher Aide starting tomorrow.
- Gym uniform is to be worn on Friday's.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about the Advent season and the gift of families.
Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story "La Tortuga."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Ee and Ff.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /e/ and /f/
Math: Children will identify 3D shapes and build a model.
Science: Children will learn about different kinds of weather.
Social Studies: Children will create a family tree.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "down."
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come.
