News of the Week
- Please make sure your child has received their flu shot. If your child does not have a flu shot they will not be able to return to school after the Christmas Recess.
- This Tuesday, Dec. 13th we will have our Christmas show in the auditorium at 10am. All children are to wear dress up clothes and wear something red or green. No jeans and no sneakers please.
- Wednesday, Dec. 21st we will have Lessons and Carols in the Church at 10am. Children are to also wear dress up clothes and wear something red or green. No jeans and no sneakers please.
- On Dec. 21st we will have our class Christmas party if you can please donate $5. for our festivities I will greatly appreciate it.
- Gym uniform is to be worn on Friday's.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about the gift of families and Christmas.
Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story "The Elves and the Shoemaker."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Gg.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /g/.
Math: Children will identify numbers 6 and 7. Children will decompose and compose 6 and 7.
Science: Children will learn about day and night.
Social Studies: Children will learn the meaning of our Christmas decorations.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "for"
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find.
