News of the Week
- Friday, May 13th Early Dismissal 12 Noon. Faculty Meeting.
- This week we will be learning about the sacrament of Baptism. If your child was Baptized can you please send a copy of a photo of their Baptism to share with the class on Thursday, May 12th. Also, discuss with your child one special memory about that day that they can share with the class. I will return all photos.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the book "The Tug of War."
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Uu.
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify short and long vowel sound /u/.
Religion - Children will learn about the Sacrament of Baptism.
Math - Children will use pictures to solve subtraction problems.
Science - Children will discover how water goes up a plant through its stem.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the words "play" and "run."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, play, run.
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero.
