News of the Week
- Unfortunately, Muffins with Mom has been cancelled. Mr. Woods was informed today of a Covid case in one of the Pre-K classrooms. We have to follow the Covid regulations and for this reason no one is allowed in the school building. The children have practiced their Mother's Day song throughout this past week so I will video tape them and post it on the blog so all the Mommy's can enjoy the performance from home. Thank you all for understanding and your cooperation.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the book "The Tug of War."
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Tt.
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify letter sound /t/.
Religion - Children will learn about God's gift of living things and how to care for God's creations.
Math - Children will begin to use pictures to solve subtraction problems.
Science - Children will learn about the parts of a plant. Children will identify the stages of a butterfly life cycle.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "not."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not.
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero.
