News of the Week
- Please read the school blog regarding registration for September for the children moving on to Pre-K for 4 year old's and for students moving on to Kindergarten.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the book "The Nightingale."
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Mm.
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify letter sound /m/.
Religion - Children will learn about the importance of obeying our parents, being kind and doing the right thing.
Math - Children will complete our unit on measuring. Children will begin to learn about comparing numbers.
Social Studies - Children will continue to learn about community workers and create a self-portrait of what they want to be when they grow up.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "is."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero.
