News of the Week
- Tomorrow we will be attending the funeral Mass for Mrs. Fundora's husband at 11:00am and all children must be in full school uniform, all the boys must wear their school ties.
- Wednesday, March 2nd we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Birthday, the children are allowed to wear a costume from one of Dr. Seuss story characters. If the children will not be in costume they must wear their school uniform.
- Wednesday, March 2nd we will attend Mass at 10:30am for Ash Wednesday.
- Friday, March 4th Early Dismissal 12 Noon for Faculty Meeting.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the book "The City Mouse and the Country Mouse."
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Nn.
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify letter sound /n/.
Religion - Children will learn about being kind and doing the right thing. Children will learn about Ash Wednesday.
Math - Children will continue to learn about comparing numbers.
Social Studies - Children will continue to learn about community workers and create a self-portrait of what they want to be when they grow up.
Science - Children will learn about the three states of matter. Children will create an experiment and make Oobleck for Dr. Seuss Week.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "it."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is, it
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero.
