Welcome Back and Happy New Year To All!
I hope everyone had a joyous Christmas break and I'm excited to be back to school with all my wonderful children to hear all their exciting stories about their Christmas break. I want to also thank all the parents for your beautiful and thoughtful gifts and for taking the time to help make the children's Christmas party so wonderful. Thank you all for your help and cooperation!
This Week Children will be learning the following:
- Religion: Children will learn about God's gift of animals. Children will learn the story of the Three Wise Men.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning short vowel sound /i/.
- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Ii.
- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the word "for."
- Math: Children will identify numbers 6 and 7. Children will understand how to add 1 more to 5 to make 6 and how to add 1 more to 6 to make 7.
Letters and letter sounds for Review for the 3 and 4 year old groups:
Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii
Sight Words for Review for the 4 year old Group:
a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for
Color Words for Review for the 4 year old Group:
red, blue, yellow, green
