- Monday, January 28th is Open House and parents are allowed to visit the classrooms from 8:30am - 10:30am.

- Thursday, January 31st Report Cards will be sent home. 

- Friday, February 1st Early Dismissal 12 Noon.

- Friday, February 1st Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from 3:00pm - 8:00pm.  

This Week Children will be learning the following:

- Religion: Children will understand that God created us to have feelings. Children will identify different kinds of feelings. 

- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sounds /l/ and /m/. 

- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letters Ll and Mm.
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "The Nightingale."

- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the words "go" and "help."

- Math: Children will relate 8 as 7 and 1 more.
- Science: Children will explore the concepts of crystal formation and dissolving substances.
- Social Studies: Children will learn about Groundhog's Day.  Children will learn the meaning of hibernation and discuss which animals hibernate.

Welcome Back and Happy New Year To All!
I hope everyone had a joyous Christmas break and I'm excited to be back to school with all my wonderful children to hear all their exciting stories about their Christmas break.  I want to also thank all the parents for your beautiful and thoughtful gifts and for taking the time to help make the children's Christmas party so wonderful. Thank you all for your help and cooperation!
