Week of 2/29/16 - 3/4/16

News of the Week
- Wednesday, March 2nd we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday.  Children are allowed to dress up as any story character from Dr. Seuss' books.  There will be a contest at 1:30pm, all parents are invited. 

- Friday, March 4th Progress Reports will go home. 

- Students who will be entering PreK3, Prek4 or Kindergarten in September 2016 must register online at Apply Now.  To make it easier for parents there is a link on the school website immediately when you open the page of www. olqmnyc.org.  Alba, Brianna and Alan will also assist you in the office as there is a computer setup in the hallway and also in Alan's office for parents. Scholarships are available for all students who are registered through the Apply Now website.

-   This week children will listen and respond to Dr. Seuss books as we celebrate his birthday on March 2nd.  We will also be working on identifying rhyming words. 
- This week for Math children will be learning about composing and decomposing a group of 10.  Children will also continue to write addition equations. 
-  Identify the following Uppercase and Lowercase Letters: Mm, Tt, Rr, Ss, Cc, Pp, Aa, Nn, Dd, Ll, Gg, Ii, Bb, Oo, Ee, Jj Ff, Xx, Hh and Qq. 
-  Identify and Read Sight Words: I, my, the, and, see, in, a, can, go, to, little, big, jump, for, find, make, away, help, look, play, funny. 
-  Identify Color Words: red, blue, yellow, purple, green, black, brown
