News of the Week
- Children are to be in full school uniform on Wednesday, including school shoes. We will have a visit by Superintendent of School for Archdiocese of Denver.
- Friday, Feb. 19th Stations of the Cross 10:30am parents welcomed.
- Students who will be entering PreK3, Prek4 or Kindergarten in September 2016 must register online at Apply Now. To make it easier for parents there is a link on the school website immediately when you open the page of www. olqmnyc.org. Alba, Brianna and Alan will also assist you in the office as there is a computer setup in the hallway and also in Alan's office for parents. Scholarships are available for all students who are registered through the Apply Now website.

Please review identifying the following:
- Try to read a book everyday to your child and help them identify story characters, setting, and retelling story in sequence order. This week we will be listening and responding to the story "The Country and City Mouse." Children will also listen and respond to stories about community workers.
- This week for Math children will be learning about the number 9. Children will be counting and adding groups to 9. Children will continue to write addition equations.
- Identify the following Uppercase and Lowercase Letters: Mm, Tt, Rr, Ss, Cc, Pp, Aa, Nn, Dd, Ll, Gg, Ii, Bb, Oo, Ee, Jj Ff and Xx.
- Identify and Read Sight Words: I, my, the, and, see, in, a, can, go, to, little, big, jump, for, find, make, away, help
- Identify Color Words: red, blue, yellow, purple, green, black
