News of the Week
- Tuesday, Oct. 4th. Chancellor Banks and Superintendent Deegan will be visiting our school. Children are to wear their full school uniform.
- Wednesday, Oct. 5th is Picture Day! Please make sure I receive the picture envelope money by Tuesday if you want your child's picture taken. For picture day you have the choice of having your child wear their school uniform or dress up clothes for their individual school picture, it is your choice.
- Reminder that dismissal is at 3:00pm.
- I want to inform you to please remember to take home the sleeping mats every Friday for washing and always remember to return them on Monday's.
- Gym uniform is to be worn on Friday's.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about God's creations.
Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story "Little Red Riding Hood."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Aa and Bb.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /a/ and /b/.
Math: Children will learn about counting from 1 - 4.
Science: Children will learn that good scientist observe and compare closely.
Social Studies: Children will understand there are consequences when we don't follow rules.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "big."
