News of the Week
- Welcome Back to School! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter break!
- Tuesday, May 3rd we will have "Muffins with Mom" in celebration of Mother's Day. All our Mommies are invited at 9am in the auditorium to enjoy muffins and some singing with your little preschoolers.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the book "The Tug of War."
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Ss.
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify letter sound /s/.
Religion - Children will learn about God's gift of living things.
Math - Children will continue to solve addition problems and write a number sentence.
Social Studies - Children will about keeping the environment clean. Children will learn about Earth Day.
Science - Children will learn about the parts of a plant.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "my."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my.
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero.
