News of the Week
- Friday, Dec. 3rd Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.
- Every Thursday children are to wear their Gym uniforms.
- Please remember to check this blog every afternoon for homework assignments and Sunday evenings or Monday mornings for our weekly news.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the story "La Tortuga."
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify initial sounds. Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Gg and letter sound /g/.
Religion - Children will continue to learn about God's gift of family.
Math - Children will learn how to create and extend patterns. Children will begin to learn about numbers 6 - 10.
Science - Children will begin to learn about different forms of weather.
Social Studies - Children will create a Christmas Family Tree.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "down."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five
Color Words: red, blue
