News of the Week
- All forms sent home on the first day of school were due last Friday and I am still am missing some students. Please remember to return all completed forms and 2 emergency cards. Also, make sure that both emergency cards must have the same information as one card goes to the school office and the other one with me in the classroom.
- Every Thursday children are to wear their Gym uniforms.
- Tomorrow we will have a full day of school and dismissal will be our regular time at 3:00pm. We will not have Early Dismissal.
- Please remember to check this blog every afternoon for homework assignments and Sunday evenings or Monday mornings for our weekly news.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to stories about their "Five Senses."
Phonemic Awareness - Children will repeat a sequence of words.
Phonics - Children will recognize the written form of their first name.
Religion - Children will understand the importance of helping others. Children will identify the people that love and care for them.
Math - Children will continue to sort and classify groups. Children will identify, read and write numbers 1 and 2.
Science - Children will participate in a fingerprint experiment.
Social Studies - Children will understand how we all must follow rules to keep ourselves safe.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "and."
