Week of 3/1/21 - 3/5/21

News of the Week 

- Tuesday, March 2nd is Dr. Seuss' Birthday.  Children are allowed to dress up as one of the characters from Dr. Seuss' books.  However this is optional as there will not be a costume contest.  

- Kindergarten Registration is now Open! Scholarships Available! If you have any questions regarding Kindergarten please let me know.  If you have any questions regarding registration or scholarships please call Ms. Alba at the school office. 

- Touring Tuesdays has begun.  New parents can set up a Zoom meeting with Ms. Alba or Mrs. McGarry to visit our school through Zoom.  

- During Lent Season we will have Stations of the Cross every Friday at 2:00pm. 

- Please remember to have your child complete all their SeeSaw assignments. 


Review Letters and Letter Sounds for: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh, Ii, Jj, Kk, Ll, Mm, Nn, Oo.

Review Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my


This week the children will be learning the following: 

Religion - Children will continue learning about the Bible and will create their own book of their favorite Bible stories. 

Reading - Children will listen and respond to "The Country and the City Mouse."

Phonemic Awareness - Children will learn letter sounds /m/, /n/ and /o/. 

Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Mm, Nn and Oo. 

Math -  Children will continue to learn how to join groups together and add. 

Science - Children will learn about the 3 states of matter and how they change. Children will create the substance Oobleck and observe how matter changes. 

Social Studies - Children will learn about community workers.
