Christmas Break Homework Due January 6

New Handwriting Book - Complete pgs. 14-15-16-17-18-19 practice tracing and writing uppercase and lowercase Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd.

Reminders: 
- Tomorrow, December 20th Early Dismissal 12 Noon.  After School program will be closed. Children will have their Christmas party and are allowed to wear dress down clothes.

- School will resume January 6th. 

- All sleeping mats must go home today for washing during Christmas break.

Reading -  Children will listen and respond to the story "The Shoemaker and the Elves."  
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Hh.
Phonemic Awareness - Children will identify beginning sound /h/.  Children will identify rhyming words.  
Sight Words - Children will learn to identify and read the sight word "for." 
Math -  Children will identify numbers 6 and 7. Children will count objects to 7. 
Science - Children will learn about different forms of weather.  Children will create rain in a glass bottle.

Reading -  Children will listen and respond to the story "La Tortuga."  
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Ee and Ff.
Phonemic Awareness - Children will identify beginning sounds /e/ and /f/.  Children will identify rhyming words.  
Sight Words - Children will learn to identify and read the sight word "down." 
Math -  Children will identify 2D shapes on the flat sides of 3D shapes. Children will use 3D shapes to build a model. 
Science - Children will learn about different forms of weather.  Children will create clouds in a bottle.  
Social Studies - Children will identify family members and create a Christmas family tree.
