Week of 5/20/19 - 5/24/19

News of the Week  

- Tomorrow May 20th Early Dismissal - Faculty Meeting

- Friday, May 24th and Monday, May 27th School Closed for Memorial Day Weekend.

- Donuts with Dad will be held on Thursday, June 13th at 9:00am.

- Our Moving-Up Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, June 19th at 10:00am. Boys are to be dressed in khaki bermuda shorts with any color polo shirt.  Girls are to wear a summer dress.

This Week Children will be learning the following:

- Religion: Children will understand that kind actions please others and God

- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sound /ks/. 

- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Xx.
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "ABC Book" and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the word "to."

- Math: Children will begin to solve word problems by subtracting.
- Science: Children will understand how water travels through the plant.  Children will learn the life cycle of a butterfly.
