Week of 2/25/19 and 3/1/19

News of the Week 

- Tomorrow, February 25th Early Dismissal 12 Noon, Faculty Meeting.

- Friday, March 1st Early Dismissal, Teacher Conference.

- Friday, March 1st we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday. Children are allowed to come to school dressed as any character from the Dr. Seuss books.  There will be a school costume contest at 9am in the auditorium for the 3 best costumes in each class.

This Week Children will be learning the following:

- Religion: Children will understand the effects of good deeds.

- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sound /p/. 

- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Pp.
- Reading: Children will listen and respond to the story, "The City Mouse and the Country Mouse."

- Sight Words: Children will learn to identify and read the words "is" and "it."

- Math: Children will compose and decompose 9.
- Science: Children will identify the states of matter. Children will identify properties of water.
- Social Studies: Children will learn the role of community helpers.
