Welcome Letter and Supply List

Dear Parents,

Welcome to Pre-K 2!  I would like to take this time to introduce myself.  My name is Elizabeth Rodriguez.  I am beginning my twentieth year as an early childhood educator and for the last fifteen years I have been working within the Catholic Schools of the Archdiocese of New York. This will be my tenth year at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs School and I am committed to providing a solid, well-rounded, academic program, in a caring, nurturing environment for your child.
If you have chosen to register your child into my class I know that you value the importance of a high quality early learning catholic education.  Pre-K will be one of the greatest milestones your child will reach. This important milestone will help guide your child and they will enter Kindergarten ready to learn.  It is also the most important foundation to prepare them to thrive in elementary school and beyond.
As parents I understand the high expectations you have of me as your child’s teacher, but as your child’s teacher I also have high expectations of all my parents and together we will work to help your child achieve their highest potential.  I welcome you and your child and I look forward to an extremely exciting new school year!
Please find attached the needed supplies for this school year.  I will meet with all parents for our Parent/Teacher meeting before school starts to discuss with you our class regulations, curriculum, schedule, and answer any questions or concerns you might have.  I will also continue to provide any important information through this blog throughout the entire school year.  I look forward to meeting you all in September.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Rodriguez

With that said I want to take this moment to thank everyone for all your support this year in our classroom and for entrusting your child to us.  I have enjoyed seeing how much they have blossomed through the months and I know they will continue to do very well.  I also want to congratulate all of you as parents for your hard work and efforts for providing your child with the best education possible.  The fact that you all chose to register your child in our class shows how much you value the importance and the structure of a catholic education.  Thank you for your trust and faith in us.  It was a great year and I’m very proud to have been a part of your child’s early childhood education.
