Week of 1/29/18 - 2/2/18

News of the Week 

- Tomorrow Monday, January 29th Open House from 9am - 11am.

- Friday, Feb. 2nd Early Dismissal 12 noon for Parent/Teacher Conferences.  Conferences will be held from 3:00pm - 8:00pm. 

This Week Children will be learning the following:
- Religion: Children will recognize that they are made by God to have feelings.
- Science: Children will learn about the states of matter.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will blend sounds to decode words.
- Phonics: Children will associate d for /d/, l for /l/, a for /a/.
- Reading Comprehension: Children will recognize rhythm and rhyme.
- Math: Children will understand addition as the joining of two groups. Children will add 3 more and 4 more.  Children will read and add numbers in vertical form.
- Social Studies: Children will learn what hibernation means and which animals hibernate.  Children will learn about Groundhog's Day.

Color Words of the Week for Review: Pink, Yellow, Brown, Orange, Black, White, Blue
