- Science: Children will learn that when salt is mixed with ice it lowers the freezing point and the ice will melt. Children will experiment with ice cubes, thread and salt to show how the salt melts the ice.

- Annette Pastor, NYCDOE Social Worker left a calendar after this mornings workshop filled with activities you can do at home with your child during the month of February. She also has provided a form for you to fill out to access a library card for your child. Please return the form to me immediately and Ms. Pastor will pick up the cards herself from the library for all the children. Once all the children have their library cards we will begin making class trips to the library. Calendar and library card form was sent home today in your child's homework folder.

- Welcome Back to School! I hope everyone had a wonderful break. I'm excited to be back and to see the children continue to blossom as we continue the second half of our school year. I would like to also thank all the families for the beautiful Christmas gifts. Thank you all so much!
