Week of 3/21/11 - 3/25/11

News of the Week
-  Science Fair will be on Tuesday -- Tomorrow we will complete our "Mold Experiment"
-  Continue reading every day.  Practice decoding, review dolch words, ask comprehension questions when reading.  Use the Everyday Math workbooks to review math concepts.
-  I would like to remind everyone that children are to wear their complete uniforms; boots, sneakers, are not permitted, everyone must have school shoes on.  On rainy days they must change into their school shoes when they arrive in the morning.  Also, if children want to wear a sweater it must be a school sweater.
-  We are collecting notebooks and pencils for the poor children of the Dominican Republic.  The class that raises the most will win a pizza party.
-  We are also collecting money during the Lent Season, you may drop it off by Alba's office.
-  The 8th graders are also collecting money to help the people of Japan.
- Remember to have all supplies, including 5 sharpened pencils every day.  Reminder that children are responsible for sharpening their pencils every night, so they are prepared for school the next day.
