- Friday, May 19th School Closed

- Our Moving-Up Ceremony will be Thursday, June 8th at 11:00am.  Children are to wear the following:: Boys with floral summer shirt with khaki shorts and Girls with floral summer dress. 

This week the children will be learning the following: 

Religion:  Children will learn about talking and praying to God. 

Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "Peter and the Wolf."

Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letters Uu and Vv.

Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /u/ and /v/.   Children will identify short vowel and long vowel /u/. Children will continue blending CVC words. 

Math:   Children will learn about joining groups to add. 

Science - Children will learn the butterfly life cycle.  

Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight words "run," "said," and "see."

Review:  4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, one, play, red.
