News of the Week
- I will be sending home this week via your child's homework folder information on how to log into an online app called SeeSaw where I will be assigning activities for the children to review and practice improving their reading, phonics, writing and math development. I will also provide you with your child's school email so you can use that email to log into SeeSaw and so you can log into our Google Classroom as well. On our Google Classroom I will post all class news and assignments just as I do on our classroom blog. Through Google Classroom you will have the opportunity to communicate with me as well and post pictures or videos.
- Please remember to return your child's sleeping mat back to school tomorrow.
- Parents of my four year old group please review sight words and letter sounds everyday with your child.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about the Bible story of Noah's Ark. Children will learn about God's gift of people.
Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "Jingles, Poems and Rhymes."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Kk.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /k/. Children will identify rhyming words.
Math: Children will count to 10 in varied configurations. Children will compose and decompose 10.
Science: Children will experiment with ice and learn about melting ice.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "here"
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help.
