News of the Week
- Our last day for Christmas Break will be Friday, December 17, 2021. We will return to school on Monday, January 3, 2022.
- Dec. 16th will be ugly Christmas Sweater Day Contest.
- Dec. 17th will be our Christmas Lessons and Carols at 9am. Children are to dress up and wear something red or green.
- On Dec. 17th we will also have a class Christmas Party, if you can please donate $5. to buy McDonald's, cupcakes, juice and other treats I will greatly appreciate it.
- Please remember to check this blog every afternoon for homework assignments and Sunday evenings or Monday mornings for our weekly news.
- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the story "The Elves and the Shoemaker."
Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify initial sounds. Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Hh and letter sound /h/.
Religion - Children will learn about the Advent season.
Math - Children will learn about numbers 6 - 10.
Science - Children will begin to learn about different forms of weather and about daylight and nighttime.
Social Studie - Children will understand and lean the reason behind every Christmas decoration.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the word "find."
The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words:
Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find
Number Words: one, two, three, four, five
Color Words: red, blue
