Week of 2/1/21 - 2/5/21

News of the Week 

- Kindergarten Registration is now Open! Scholarships Available! If you have any questions regarding Kindergarten please let me know.  If you have any questions regarding registration or scholarships please call Ms. Alba at the school office. 

- Touring Tuesdays has begun.  New parents can set up a Zoom meeting with Ms. Alba or Mrs. McGary to visit our school through Zoom.  

- Friday, Feb. 5th Early Dismissal 12 Noon for Parent/Teacher Conferences. 

- Report Cards will be distributed on Feb. 4th and Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held through Zoom from 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Please email me by tomorrow to inform me which time frame is best for you at msrodriguez@olqmnyc.org.

Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Kk and Ll. 

Math - Children will compare numbers and identify which number is "greater than," "less than," or "equal to".     

Science - Children will learn about hibernation. 

Social Studies - Children will learn about the traditions of Groundhog's Day.

Week of 1/25/21 - 1/29/21

 News of the Week 

- Tomorrow and Tuesday children are to wear their full school uniform as Mr. Woods will be coming to our class to take school photos.

- New student registration for children entering Kindergarten, scholarships available. 

- Tuition assistance available for families affected by Covid-19 please call Mr. Guzman. 

- Touring Tuesdays will begin Tuesday, Jan. 26th. New parents can set up a Zoom meeting with Ms. Alba or Mrs. McGary to visit our school through Zoom. 

- I hope children have been reviewing every week their sight words, letters, letter sounds and numbers as I will be assessing the children tomorrow and Tuesday for the end of 2nd Quarter assessments.

Seesaw- 6 new activities have been posted to review beginning and ending sounds.  Activities should be completed by Monday, Jan. 25th.

- Also, the children need new crayons as they have either use them all up, broken them or lost a few.  Please purchase a box of 24 Crayola Crayons.  Thank you.

Activity: In your White Picture Notebook draw a picture of your favorite animal in its habitat.  Tell why that is your favorite.

Activity: In your White Picture Notebook draw a picture of yourself at school and draw which animal you would like to follow you to school.
