News of the Week
- Tomorrow, Monday, Dec. 7th Early Dismissal 12 Noon, Faculty Meeting.
- On the last day before our Christmas Break the children will be performing a song at the Church for Lessons and Carols. On that day I would like the children to wear something red or green.
Review Letters and Letter Sounds for: Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh
Review Sight Words: a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go
Review Color Words: red, blue, yellow
Review Number Words: zero, one, two, three, four, five.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion - Children will learn about the Advent season and Christmas.
Reading - Children will listen and respond to the story "The Elves and the Shoemaker."
Phonemic Awareness - Children will learn letter sounds /g/ and /h/.
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Gg and Hh.
Math - Children will decompose and compose number 6 and 7. Children will identify and write number 8. Children will decompose and compose number 8.
Social Studies: Children will learn the reasons behind different Christmas decorations.
