Week of 12/17/18 - 12/21/18

News of the Week
- Kindergarten Registration for the 4 year old students entering Kindergarten in the Fall is now open.  There are scholarships available, please see Ms. Alba or Mr. Guzman for more information.

- Tuesday, December 18th Mrs. Claus will be visiting the Pre-K and Kindergarten students.

- Lessons and Carols will be held on Wednesday, December 19th at 8:30am. Children are to dress up and wear something red or green. We will have our classroom Christmas party after Lessons and Carols, I am asking for $5. to purchase pizza and treats for the party. Thank you!

- Our last day for Christmas Break will be Wednesday, December 19th.  School will resume January 3rd.

I want to take this moment to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year!!!

This Week Children will be learning the following:
- Religion:  Children will learn about the Christmas story.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify words with beginning sounds /g/ and /h/.
- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Gg and Hh.
- Reading Comprehension: Children will listen and respond to the story "The Shoemaker and the Elves."
- Math: Children will use 3D shapes to create a model.
- Science: Children will learn about different forms of weather. Children will experiment and observe how to make snow.

Letters and letter sounds for Review for the 3 and 4 year old groups:
Aa, Bb, Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, Gg, Hh

Sight Words for Review for the 4 year old Group:
a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find

Color Words for Review for the 4 year old Group: 
red, blue, yellow, green
