News of the Week
- Class Pictures will be this Wednesday, Nov. 19th. All children must be in full uniform, including school shoes.
- Friday, Nov. 21st Early Dismissal 12 noon - Parent/Teacher Conferences
- Report Cards will be distributed on Friday, Nov. 21st. Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held between 1pm - 6:40pm. To be able to meet with everyone I will only be able to see you for about 5 to 10 minutes. Please come in as early as possible because the last parent will be seen at 6:40pm.
- As you read in last week's lesson plans we have begun a unit on transportation. The children are going to be happy when they find out that I will be allowing them to bring in their transportation toys to school this week, especially my boys. They can bring in any toy that is a form of transportation but please make sure that they are small objects. For example, if the toy is longer than the size of a banana, do not have your child bring that one to school. They can bring any toy that is a truck, van, car, airplane, train, sailboat, ship, bicycle etc... If your child does not own any of these, I will provide them with one to participate in the activities.
- As a school community we are collecting any canned goods you can provide for our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Please send in as many cans as possible by Nov. 26th. The 7th and 8th grade students will distribute the cans to St. Patrick's Home located in the Bronx.
- Dress Down Fridays for $1 or more will also continue to raise money to buy turkeys to go with the canned goods.
