News of the Week
- Progress Reports will go home tomorrow. Please check your child's homework folder. If progress report indicates to schedule an appointment to meet with me, please bring the progress report at time of meeting.
- Firefighter Bill will be at the school on Thursday to speak to the children about Fire Safety.
- Reminder: Please make sure you are checking the blog every day. I will always inform you of any important information or important schedule changes through this blog on a daily basis.
Academic Up-Date
- In Math children have learned about identifying numbers and counting groups 1 to 10. Continue reviewing at home and make sure your child is able to count and match one - to - one. Children will now be learning about shapes and solid figures.
- In reading this week I will begin introducing high-frequency words. We will begin with the word "a." I would like you to help your child at home identify the word "a" and use it in a sentence.
For example, "A book." "I saw a dog."
- I would like to also remind everyone to continue helping your child practice writing their name. Please make sure all homework sheets have their names at the top of the page.
- We have also been learning about special things such as our birthdays and knowing our birth date. Please continue reviewing and identifying their birth date. Children should also practice learning their home address and home telephone number.
