Week of 11/8/10 - 11/12/10

Dear Parents,
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!  As we enter the last week of the first school quarter, I will continue assessing independent practice in all subject areas and give the children their final quiz and tests for this quarter.
I want to remind everyone that the Thanksgiving Food Drive has begun and all canned and boxed goods will be greatly appreciated.  The school class that donates the most cans will win a pizza party.
Thursday, November 11, 2010 school is closed in observance of Veterans Day.
I also want to remind parents to please make sure your child has all needed school supply's everyday.  Children should have 4 - 5 sharpened pencils in their pencil cases. They should have a case with crayons and colored pencils.  They should always remember to return their homework folders and please make sure you sign all tests and quizzes that are sent home at the end of the week.
We are also quickly running out of tissue boxes, baby wipes, hand sanitizers and paper towels.  These items were part of the supply list in September, those that have not contributed yet, your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all,
Ms. Rodriguez
