Homework for Week of 9/13/ 10 - 9/17/10

Dear Parents,  
Homework for the week has been posted, please have your child complete only the assigned homework for each particular day.  Remember to sign all homework assignments at the bottom of paper.  Also, all assignments in homework notebook must have a heading.

Name (top left side)                                         Date (top right side)
OLQM (school name left side on second line)    Grade 1-2  (on right side of second line)
                                     Subject Name (middle of third line, underlined)

Math 
Monday, 9/13 - Complete Balloon worksheet in homework folder.
Tuesday, 9/14 -  Complete Butterfly worksheet on "more or fewer" in homework folder.
Wednesday, 9/15 - Complete Ice Cream Cone worksheet in homework folder.
Thursday, 9/16 -   Study vocabulary words for test tomorrow.

Religion
Wednesday, 9/15 - Complete worksheet "What's the Word" in homework folder.
Thursday, 9/16 - study vocabulary words for test tomorrow.


Reading  
Monday, 9/13 -  Practice book complete p. 8 - 9
Tuesday, 9/14 - write spelling words at, hat, cat, can, cap 3x's each in homework notebook
Wednesday, 9/15 - write a sentence for each word: down, got, up in homework notebook.
Thursday, 9/16 - Practice book complete p. 11 and 12 
                        - Study all vocabulary words for test tomorrow.   
 
Math Vocabulary Words: 
More -  a greater number.
Fewer - a smaller number.

Religion Vocabulary Words:
Bible - book of God's words.
Creation - everything God made.

Reading Vocabulary Words:
down - toward the ground
got - did get
up - toward the sky

Social Studies Vocabulary Words:
Family – people who help and care for each other.
Group – people who do things together.

Science Vocabulary Words:
Star – glows and makes its own light and heat.
Temperature – how warm or cool something is.

*****Friday, 9/17/10- Vocabulary Test for all words in all 
subjects.
