Week of 4/24/23 - 4/28/23

  News of the Week .

- Our Moving-Up Ceremony will be June 8th at 11:00am.  Children are to wear the following:: Boys with floral summer shirt with khaki shorts and Girls with floral summer dress. 


This week the children will be learning the following: 

Religion:  Children will continue to learn about God's gift of the life cycle of all living things. 

Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "The Tug of War."

Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Qq. 

Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sound /kw/.   Children will continue blending CVC words. 

Math:  Children will identify the numbers 14 - 18.

Science: Children will learn the life cycle of a plant. 

Social Studies: Children will learn about how to keep the environment clean by reducing, recycling and reusing. 

Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight words "my" and "not." 


Review:  4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me.

- Parent / Teacher Conferences will be Friday, April 21st, 1:00pm - 3:00pm in person.and 3:00pm - 6:00pm via Zoom.  Please email me with a convenient time for us to meet to discuss your child's progress. 

- Friday, April 21st Early Dismissal 12 Noon . NO AFTER SCHOOL.
