News of the Week .
- Thursday, March 2nd we will be celebrating Dr. Seuss Birthday. Children are allowed to dress up as any Dr. Seuss character. There will be a school contest for the best costume. Pre-K Contest will be at 8:30am in the lunchroom, all parents invited.
- Friday, March 3rd Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about doing good deeds.
Reading:: Children will listen and respond to Dr. Seuss story books.
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Mm.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sound /m/. Children will identify rhyming words. Children will blend CVC words. Children will identify syllables.
Math: Children will learn about measuring weight and volume.
Science: Children will learn about the 3 states of matter. Children will participate in a science experiment and create a substance called Oobleck to identify how matter changes from solid to liquid.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "jump."
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in, is, it.
Phonics - Identify letters A - J and follow the color codes to color the hidden picture.

News of the Week .
- Wednesday, February 22nd, Ash Wednesday Mass at 10:00am.
- Reminder as Mr. Woods mentioned in his blog all students will be dismissed at 2:45pm everyday, please be on time.
- During the Lent Season starting this Friday we will join the school community to do Stations of the Cross every Friday at 2:15pm. If your child is not in the after-school program your child will be dismissed from the Church at 2:45pm.
- Mr. Woods will be available to meet with parents everyday from 9:00am - 11:30am to help with transitioning your child for September 2023. Please call to make an appointment.

Dear Parents,
There has been a calendar change after receiving the sad news of the closing of our school. Our Moving-Up Ceremony will now be held on June 8, 2023 at 11:00am. Even though our ceremony will be so early in the month of June the children are still allowed to return to school until the last day of school on June 23, 2023. If you have any questions please let me know.

Reading: Listen to the story "Happy Valentine's Day Mouse! by Laura Numeroff. Then, decorate the Valentine's card and match the candies to the number.
Reminder:
- Tomorrow our Valentine's Day Show will be at 8:30am. Please remember all children are to wear something red or pink, no uniform and no jeans tomorrow. Also, please send in the $5. for their party. Thank you all for your cooperation.

- Tuesday, February 14th we will have a Valentine's Day Show at 8:30am in the Auditorium for all parents. We will also have a class party for Valentine's Day if you can please send in $5. for pizza, juice and other treats I will greatly appreciate it.
- On Tuesday for our Valentine's Show children are to wear something red or pink, no uniform.
- On Thursday Feb.16th we will be celebrating 100 Days of School. Children are allowed to wear costumes of little old people, but this is absolutely optional. Mr. Woods has purchased 100 Day Crowns for the children to wear for the day so if you do not have a costume no worries as we will all wear the crowns for the festivities.
- School will be closed Wednesday, Feb. 15th, Friday, Feb. 17th and Monday, Feb.20th.
