Moving-Up Ceremony

  News of the Week 

-  Our Moving - Up Ceremony will be this Thursday, June 16th at 10:00am.  I have great news Mr. Woods informed me this morning that 4 adults per child are allowed to attend the ceremony.  After the ceremony we will have a small reception and lunch will be served for the parents and children. This will be our last day of school, after the ceremony. 

-  This Thursday,  June 16th for our Moving-Up Ceremony all children are to arrive to school by 9:15am.  Please be on time as the ceremony will begin on time.

- For our Moving-Up Ceremony on Thursday the dress attire is the following: Girls are to wear a white summer dress and Boys are to wear khaki shorts with a white shirt.  

- Please check this blog at the end of the week as I will be posting a slide show video of pictures of all the children throughout this school year.

Week of June 6, 2022 - June 10, 2022

 News of the Week 

- Friday, June 10th School Closed.

-  Our Moving - Up Ceremony will be June 16th at 10:00am.  We must continue to follow Covid regulations as Covid cases are rising and for this reason there will only be 2 guests allowed per child. We will have a small reception after the ceremony and lunch will be served for the parents and children. This will be our last day of school, after the ceremony. 

- For our Moving-Up Ceremony on June 16th the dress attire is the following: Girls are to wear a white summer dress and Boys are to wear khaki shorts with a white shirt.  

- To my 4yr.old Group please make sure to practice reading the sight words with your child everyday.  

- Please remember to bring sleeping mats back to school.


This week the children will be learning the following: 

Reading -  Children will listen and respond to the book "Peter and the Wolf."

Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letters Xx, Yy and Zz.

Phonemic Awareness / Phonics - Children will identify letter sounds /ks/, /y/ and /z/.

Religion -  Children will listen and respond to various Bible stories.

Sight Words (4yr. old Group) - Children will read and write the words "where" and "you."


The 4yr. old group should be reviewing the following words: 

Sight Words:  a, and, away, big, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, play, run, said, see, the, to, up, we, where, you

Number Words: one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, zero.
