News of the Week
- Friday, Oct. 4th Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.
- Tuesday, Oct. 8th Class Picture Day. Children must be in full school uniform.
- I want to remind all parents that breakfast is not allowed after 8:00am in the classroom. I also want to remind parents that you are to drop off your child at the door in the morning and one of the teachers will assist your child if needed.
- The sleeping mats are stored in your child's cubbies, feel free to take them home to wash whenever your please but please remember to return the following school day.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion - Children will learn about God's creations. This week we will focus on God's gift of water.
Reading - Children will compare and contrast two versions of "Little Red Riding Hood."
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Aa and Bb.
Phonemic Awareness - Children will identify beginning sounds /a/ and /b/.
Sight Words - Children will learn to identify and read the word "and" and the number words "two" and "three."
Math - Children will identify numbers 1 - 5. Children will arrange and count up to five objects in scattered and linear configurations.
Science - Children will understand the different skills scientists use to learn about the world around us. Children will use a magnifying glass to experiment and identify different fingerprints.
Social Studies - Children will understand how we all must follow rules to keep ourselves safe.

Some parents have only returned 1 emergency card, you must fill out and return two cards as one is sent to the school office and the other remains in the classroom. Also, remember to provide the same emergency contacts in both cards. Please see me in the morning so I can inform you if you are still missing any forms.
