Week of 11/27/17 - 12/1/17

News of the Week:
-  Tomorrow Nov. 27th Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.

- Thank you all for the canned food donations. The school collected 1,187 cans and 12 turkeys were purchased for the outreach program of St. Patrick's Home.

This Week Children will be learning the following:
- Religion: Children will continue learning about families and the Holy Family. Children will also learn about the Advent season.
- Science: Children will learn about shadows.
- Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify initial and medial sounds /d/.
- Phonics: Children will identify uppercase D and lowercase d.
- Reading Comprehension: Children will answer questions about a poem.  Children will follow oral directions.
- Math: Children will identify groups of objects and numbers 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.

- Tomorrow, Nov. 22nd we will have our school Thanksgiving Mass at 9:00am.  Children are to wear dress up clothes.  I am asking for $3. for our Thanksgiving Day Party.

- School Resumes on Monday, Nov. 27th.

If your child has a food allergy or has asthma, we must have it documented by your child's doctor and we must have an EpiPen or Asthma Inhaler in the office in case of an emergency.  
I want to remind you that we are a peanut free classroom as we have a student with peanut allergy.  I want to remind you not to send any snacks for your child that contain nuts. Thank you all for always cooperating with this matter regarding the snacks.
