-  Please bring plastic bag by Friday to pack the books for the Easter Break.

-  Also,  please check your child's gym sweat shirts.  Two children have taken each others sweat shirts by mistake, if your child's sweat shirt is a size LARGE and they went home with a size MEDIUM, let me know so we can make the switch. Thank You.

Week of 4/11/11 - 4/15/11

News of the Week
-  Thursday, April 14th - Early Dismissal 12 noon.  Report Cards will be distributed, Parent/Teacher Conferences will be from 2pm - 7pm.

-  Please bring in a plastic bag by Friday to pack the children's books for the Easter break.

- School will be open on Monday, April 18th.  We will pack the books that day. We will have a Easter Party, children may wear dress up clothes but no jeans.  Please send $3. to purchase pizza, juice and other goodies for the party. I will distribute the Easter Break homework on that Monday as well.

-  Continue reading every day.  Practice decoding words, review dolch words, ask comprehension questions when reading.  Take advantage of writing opportunities and keep your children writing at home.
Remind them to write complete sentences and reread their writing to make sure it makes sense.  Use the Everyday Math workbooks to review math concepts we have completed throughout the year.

-  We are collecting notebooks and pencils for the poor children of the Dominican Republic.  The class that raises the most will win a pizza party.

- Remember to have all supplies, including 5 sharpened pencils every day.  Children are responsible for sharpening their pencils every night, so they are prepared for school the next day.

-  4th Quarter will begin this week.  Parent/Teacher conference has been changed to April 14th.

-  Continue reading every day.  Practice decoding words, review dolch words, ask comprehension questions when reading.  Take advantage of writing opportunities and keep your children writing at home.
Remind them to write complete sentences and reread their writing to make sure it makes sense.  Use the Everyday Math workbooks to review math concepts we have completed throughout the year.
