News of the Week
- On Friday I sent home via your child's homework folder the instructions for logging into the online program "SeeSaw" and I also taped onto your child's folder their school email address and password for logging in. Please let me know if you have any questions.
- Friday, Feb. 3rd Early Dismissal 12 Noon - Faculty Meeting.
- February 10th we will have Parent/Teacher Conferences, 1:00pm - 3:00pm In-Person Conferences or 3:00pm- 6:00pm Zoom Conferences. Please email me with a convenient time and I will confirm with you.
- This week I will be assessing all the children for the end of the quarter assessments on basic skills in both reading, phonics and math.
- Please remember to return your child's sleeping mat back to school tomorrow.
- Parents of my four year old group please review sight words and letter sounds everyday with your child.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about God's gift of people and feelings.
Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "Jingles, Poems and Rhymes."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Kk.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /k/. Children will identify rhyming words.
Math: Children will compose and decompose 10.
Science: Children will experiment with ice and learn about melting ice.
Social Studies: Children will learn about Groundhog's Day and hibernation.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight words "I" and "in."
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here.
