News of the Week
- Please remember to return your child's sleeping mat back to school tomorrow.
- Parents of my four year old group please review sight words and letter sounds everyday with your child.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about God's gift of animals and the Bible story of Noah's Ark.
Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "Jingles, Poems and Rhymes."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase Jj.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sounds /j/. Children will identify rhyming words.
Math: Children will count to 9 in varied configurations. Children will compose and decompose 9.
Science: Children will learn how snow is formed.
Social Studies: Children will continue to learn about the life of Martin Luther King Jr.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight word "help"
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go.
