News of the Week .
- Friday, June 2nd School Closed.
- Thursday, June 1st Gym uniform.
- Our Moving-Up Ceremony will be Thursday, June 8th at 11:00am. Children are to wear the following: Boys with floral Hawaiian summer shirt with khaki shorts and Girls with floral summer dress. On June 8th children are to arrive to the classroom at 10:00am. If you have any questions please let me know.
This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion: Children will learn about being patient.
Reading:: Children will listen and respond to the story "Peter and the Wolf."
Phonics: Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Xx.
Phonemic Awareness: Children will identify beginning sound /ks/. Children will continue blending CVC words.
Math: Children will learn about subtraction.
Sight Words (4yr. old Group): Children will learn to read and write the sight words "we" and "where."
Review: 4yr. old children should be reviewing the following sight words everyday at home: a, and, away, big, blue, can, come, down, find, for, funny, go, help, here, I, in, is, it, jump, little, look, make, me, my, not, one, play, red, run, said, see, the, to, up.
