Week of 2/3/20 - 2/7/20

News of the Week 
- Tomorrow, February 3rd Prayer Service at 9:00am Blessing of the Throats.

- Friday, February 7th Early Dismissal 12 Noon, Faculty Meeting.

- Tuesday, February 11th Valentine's Day Music Presentation at 10:00am.  Children are to wear something red or pink.

This week the children will be learning the following:
Religion - Children will understand God always wants us to do the right thing.
Reading -  Children will listen and respond to the story "The Nightingale." 
Phonics - Children will identify uppercase and lowercase letter Mm.
Phonemic Awareness -  Children will identify beginning sound /m/.  Children will identify rhyming words.  Children will begin to blend letter sounds together.
Sight Words - Children will learn to identify and read the sight word "I" and "in."
Math -  Children will identify number 9. Children will count up to 9 objects in various configurations.  
Social Studies - Children will learn Groundhog's Day.  Children will learn about hibernation. 
Science - Children will learn about crystal formation.
